Supplemental Courses
Online options for your school day
Whether you want to take a course not offered at your school, need to make some room in your schedule, or you just want to add a mix of online learning to your day, you can take a supplemental course at NSO at no cost to your family while staying enrolled at your school.
How it Works:
-
A supplemental online course replaces a course within your school day at no cost to your family. You can take up to half of your courses at the online provider of your choosing each term.
-
Courses are taught asynchronously, so you can access your course at any time: use the open period during your school day or do your coursework during evenings and weekends.
-
Stay enrolled at your school and the grade and credit for the course is provided to your school for your official transcript.
Who Can take supplemental courses:
-
Any middle or high school student in Minnesota attending a public school.
-
Supplemental courses can only be taken during the school year (the summer session is only available for credit recovery or courses for tuition).
