Credit Recovery (IS)
Earn credits with flexibility and support
If you are a Minnesota public high school student who has failed a course or is behind in credits, taking online credit recovery courses at NSO can help you get on track toward your graduation goals. Courses that qualify as Independent Study for credit recovery are state-funded.
How NSO Credit Recovery Courses Work
-
Take courses for credit recovery during the school year in addition to your regular schedule or during our NSO Summer Session.
-
Our courses are taught by experienced MN licensed teachers who are experts in their subject area. You will get the same quality learning experience as a non-credit recovery course.
-
Frequent support and outreach, teacher connection, and individualized pacing can help you get caught up on your credits in a way that works for your schedule.
Who can take courses for credit recovery
Any student who qualifies for credit recovery in Minnesota can take courses with the ALC of their choosing, including NSO. You may qualify if:
-
You are 16 – 21 years old and are behind in credits toward graduation.
-
You are under 16 and have failed a high school course and are taking that same course for credit recovery.
