Course Description

Lifestyle is a major health hazard in our society today. We can make choices that are healthy and positive, or we can make choices that endanger our health. Our main job is to take personal responsibility for our health. We can do this through acquiring knowledge necessary for good health and by taking positive steps to developing our healthy habits for life. This Health Science course, designed for high school students, will provide the information for good health and will include a project where you can develop a healthy habit. The course is designed to be taken in a 9 week, 90-minute block schedule, but can be modified to be taken over an 18 week semester or 12 week trimester.
